Always stretch out the pony band before using to test its metal clasp for strength. You might want to hold two bands together while making your scrunchie for extra security from breakage. Entire scrunchie is worked holding two strands of yarn together at the same time. Rnd 1: Attach both strands to pony band with sl st. Ch 1. Sc around band with an even number of stitches. Stretch band slightly, to evenly space the stitches. Rnd 2: Ch 1. * Reverse hdc in next sc. Ch 1. Sk 1 sc. Rep from * around. Sl st to beg ch 1. Fasten off. Carefully weave in all ends.
